    Hands On Ukulele (in-person)

    Aug 5

Earle Baum Campus, 4539 Occidental Rd, Santa Rosa

Always wanted to play an instrument and not sure how to get started? Come to the EBC campus on Tuesdays for an all levels Ukulele class. The parts of the ukulele, strings, chords, are all taught through description and assistance. Volunteers, called chord callers, will verbally call out the cord ahead of time, as an accessible way of reading music. The class starts at a more beginner level allowing for everyone to play and warm up, and progresses to more challenging songs. Playing music has been known to develop dexterity, improve cognitive function, exercises the brain, enhances memory, and is simply FUN! Bring your voice and enthusiasm and join in the fun.

    RSVP: Patricia Jefferson pjefferson@old.lighthouse-sf.org or (415) 694-7692
